Mixed Reality

The key feature of the Mixed Reality Competition is the combination of virtual and physical elements. Real robots (micro robots) with a floor area of approximately 2 cm ² and approximately 2 cm in height are playing on a virtual field with a virtual ball.

On the one hand movements are generated by different velocities of the two wheels, on the other hand, the virtual ball is kicked indirectly via a command. These circumstances require a meaningful link between two different concepts:

The discrete behavior of a virtual world must be brought into line with the complex physical reality. The mixed reality bridges the gap between simulation and reality in order to connect the leagues. In the third year after the creation of mixed reality games are played 5 on 5. In initial tests we be performed 7 vs. 7 in order to play with the future third system 11 against 11 on a real scaled field.
